Unable to attend Church, I requested the Sacrament be brought to me.  Tiffany also stayed home since Lexi had a cold.  It was a beautiful sunny day, and I had enjoyed a pretty good day.  Tiffany thought this would be the perfect day for us to work on a Valentine Craft.  It seemed like a good idea at the time, haha!  The craft included red, light pink, and dark pink, felt hearts, and a bag of white felt balls.  The idea was to run a needle and thread through each one, forming a pattern of hearts that could be hung across a wall.  It started out great.  We began by taking turns with the needle and thread.  Even Gracie did some hand-"sewing".  Pretty soon, attention-spans started dwindling and we lost Kendall and Gracie.  Tiffany had to start dinner, so Brook and I continued working on the pattern pieces, encouraging the other girls to take their turns.  After a long while, we realized that we had gotten "jipped" on the light pink hearts and we would not be able to do anymore.  Tiff came in to help us "tie it off" and hang it up.  Each time she tried to hang it, the hearts bunched together.  She tried several attempts to rehang them but to no avail.  Rick tried to help but by that time, she had run out of patience.  She tried to hang it one last time, then grabbed the string, wadded it up, and threw it in the trash!!!  She complained about it being a "stupid ole craft" but I knew her emotions had little to do with the craft and a whole lot to do with things she no longer had control over.  I have Cancer and she can't change that.
In the middle of the craft project, Rick came home with an Elder from church, and his son.  They had come to bless and offer the Sacrament.  It was such a nice experience for me, since I had not been able to attend church in two months.  The girls were very reverent as the bread and water were blessed and I could definitely feel the Spirit.  I felt renewed.
After dinner, Tiffany & Rick got the girls ready for bed, then finished up some last minute preparations for tomorrow night's arrival of the Walz family.
The Broncos and Seahawks were in the Super Bowl.  Son-in-law, Jeff is from Denver and son-in-law, Stephen is from the Seattle area.  What's a mother-in-law to do???  Some friendly text banter from Stephen lightened the evening and made me want to watch the game but resisted.   However, a few minutes on Facebook, and more teasing from Stephen, let us know that it would not be a good night for Denver!  Final Score: 43 - 8!!!  Seattle Seahawks won…BIG TIME!   Enjoy the win, Stephen Mandelin!   :0)
The evening ended with a sweet text from my sister, Kathy.
