Believing is Seeing

Well after many failed attempts...I am pleased to announce I am a contributor on Grammy's journey! I feel honored and excited to contribute entries that will reveal truths, laughs, tenderness, and the beauty that Grammy is throughout her journey through cancer. I have been keeping a nightly journal that helps me remember small moments that I capture of her. For example, last night we watched the end episodes of my favorite movie North and South. I will never watch that movie again without hearing the word "prude" in her dainty voice! ha ha ha. ...or "Tali Ho!" ...from Austenland! lol.

I saw the cancer center for the first time yesterday with mom. I think this visual is what brought it home for me. Mom has cancer...again. Seeing her hair fall out has been such a humbling experience but even that had not affected my perception until I saw her in the "chemo recliner" getting her shots with her cute little hat on, in a room filled with other mothers, daughters, fathers, brothers hooked up to poison. All I know is my mom rocks! She is pleasant, polite, calm, inspiring, patient, dear, loving, and still....helping people find peace with her situation. She is remarkable and pure beauty because she radiates light through her eyes, hope in her smile, and Christ through her love.
